PRESENTATIONS, SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS, CONTESTS, AND WORKSHOPS

KEN BLACKBURN - GUINNESS BOOK WORLD RECORD HOLDER, AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER AND AUTHOR OF:

I have been doing a variety of paper airplane presentations for a number of years. These include presentations at schools, scouting events, paper airplane contests, workshops, motivational speaking to teachers and corporations, aviations groups and much more. It has been such a great pleasure for me and a wonderful opportunity to enlighten people on a gift that I was able to develop my childhood love and hobby into my profession. With this I am able to speak with a lot of children and adults through my books, web page, and presentations and hopefully bring fun and enjoyment in learning the principles of flight and the benefit of persistence and drive. The following are just a small list of events I have done recently:

Some of my presentations are through Sverdrup Community Relations, who coordinate my time during working hours. This is usually school presentations in the Fort Walton Beach, FL and surrounding area. To schedule a Sverdrup sponsored event please contact Boeing Community Relations at (850) 678-2001 .

Some of my time is donated to non profit organizations in the Florida panhandle area. Contact me at my email address to schedule an available date.

For events out of the area I require travel expenses along with a honorarium. Please contact me directly at my email address to discuss the details.

PRESENTATION CONTENT:

I can structure my presentation to emphasize or explain the fundamentals of flight, my career as an engineer, benefits of persistence and hard work. A typical presentation includes the following:

Presentations can last from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, with most presentations lasting about 45 minutes. I have view graphs and PowerPoint presentations available as well as educational handouts and World Record Paper Airplane plans. Workshops and contests can become all day or weekend events.
